Installation Methods
Floating
Ideal for rooms with stable temperature and humidity. Lay underlayment, leave 1/4" gap for expansion, and avoid rooms larger than 25x40 feet without transitions.
Glue Down
Use in areas where soundproofing is needed. Apply adhesive with a 1/16" trowel, allowing 24 hours to cure, and ensure a moisture barrier is in place for concrete subfloors.
Nail Down
Best for wood subfloors. Use 1-1/4" nails or staples with a pneumatic nailer, spacing them every 6 inches, and ensure air pressure is set to 70-90 PSI.
Site Requirements
- Temperature: Maintain a temperature between 65°F and 85°F for at least 48 hours before, during, and after installation.
- Humidity: Ensure the relative humidity is between 30% and 50%.
- Preparation: Ensure HVAC systems are operational for at least one week prior to installation to stabilize the environment.
