Installation Guide
Installation Methods
Floating
Use this method on subfloors that are not suitable for adhesive or nails. Lay underlayment first, leaving a 1/4 inch expansion gap around the perimeter.
Glue Down
Ideal for concrete subfloors. Use an adhesive recommended by the manufacturer, and follow trowel size guidelines for even application.
Nail Down
Best for wooden subfloors. Use a flooring nailer and follow the specified nailing schedule, maintaining proper air pressure to avoid damaging the planks.
Site Requirements
- Temperature: The room should be maintained between 65°F and 85°F for at least 48 hours before, during, and after installation.
- Humidity: Acceptable humidity levels are between 35% and 55%. Use a hygrometer to ensure this range is met.
- Preparation: Ensure HVAC systems are operational for at least 7 days prior to installation. Keep windows and doors closed to maintain consistent conditions.
