Installation Guide
Installation Methods
Floating
Use this method on subfloors with minor imperfections. Lay underlayment, leave a 1/4 inch gap for expansion, and ensure room dimensions do not exceed 30 feet in any direction without transition moldings.
Glue Down
Ideal for concrete subfloors. Use a urethane adhesive with a trowel recommended by the adhesive manufacturer. Ensure a moisture barrier is in place and allow 24 hours for the adhesive to cure.
Nail Down
Best for plywood subfloors. Use 1-1/2 inch flooring nails or staples with a pneumatic nailer. Space fasteners 8 inches apart along each board.
Site Requirements
- Temperature: The room should be maintained at a temperature between 60°F and 80°F for at least 48 hours before and during installation.
- Humidity: Relative humidity in the room should be between 35% and 55% to ensure stable conditions for the engineered hardwood.
- Preparation: Ensure HVAC systems are operational at least one week prior to installation to stabilize the environment. Ensure all windows and doors are installed and closed to prevent moisture ingress.
