Installation Methods
Floating
Use this method when dealing with concrete subfloors or areas where moisture levels might vary. Lay underlayment as a moisture barrier, ensure 1/4" expansion gap around perimeter, and adhere to room dimension limits of 30' x 30'.
Glue Down
Ideal for concrete or wood subfloors with stable moisture levels. Use manufacturer-recommended adhesive, apply with specified trowel, and allow 24 hours for curing. Install moisture barrier if necessary.
Nail Down
Suitable for plywood or OSB subfloors. Use 1-1/2" staples or cleats, with spacing of 6" to 8" apart, and ensure air pressure settings are appropriate for the tools used.
Site Requirements
- Temperature: Maintain room temperature between 60°F and 80°F for at least 48 hours prior to installation.
- Humidity: Ensure indoor humidity is between 30% and 50% to prevent wood expansion or contraction.
