Installation Guide
Installation Methods
Floating
Use this method for ease of installation and when subfloor conditions are less than ideal. Leave a 3/8" expansion gap around the perimeter.
Glue Down
Ideal for a firm, permanent installation on clean, dry, and level subfloors. Use a moisture barrier if necessary.
Nail Down
Recommended for wood subfloors. Use nails or staples every 8" along the length of each board. Ensure the air pressure is set correctly to avoid damaging the boards.
Site Requirements
- Temperature: Maintain a room temperature between 60°F and 80°F during installation and for at least 48 hours before and after.
- Humidity: Ensure the relative humidity is between 30% and 50% to prevent wood expansion or contraction.
- Preparation: HVAC systems should be operational for at least a week before installation to stabilize the environment. Ensure adequate lighting and seal any open windows and doors to control environmental conditions.
