Installation Guide
Installation Methods
Floating
Use this method on subfloors that are not suitable for nails or glue. Install with a suitable underlayment and allow for 1/2" expansion around room edges.
Glue Down
Optimal for concrete subfloors. Use a urethane-based adhesive, apply with a trowel, and ensure a moisture barrier is in place.
Nail Down
Ideal for wooden subfloors. Use 1-1/2" nails with a pneumatic nailer, maintaining a spacing of 8" apart, and ensure the substrate is plywood or OSB.
Site Requirements
- Temperature: Maintain a room temperature between 60°F and 80°F for optimal performance.
- Humidity: Keep humidity levels between 35% and 55% to ensure stability of the oak flooring.
- Preparation: Ensure HVAC systems are operational at least 48 hours before installation. Verify that the site is well-lit and all doors and windows are installed to maintain consistent environmental conditions.
Required Tools
Essential Tools:
Tape measure, chalk line, miter saw, pneumatic nailer, moisture meter, safety goggles
