Installation Methods
Floating
Ideal for Parchment 5" when subfloor conditions are less than perfect. Use an appropriate underlayment, allowing for 1/4" expansion gaps. Limit room dimensions to 40 ft in any direction.
Glue Down
Use a high-quality hardwood adhesive with a trowel size recommended by the manufacturer. Ensure a working time of 20-30 minutes and a cure time of 24 hours. Apply a moisture barrier if subfloor moisture is a concern.
Nail Down
Suitable for plywood or OSB subfloors. Use 1-1/2" to 2" flooring nails or staples. Space fasteners every 6"-8" along the board. Maintain air pressure at 70-90 PSI.
Site Requirements
- Temperature: Your room should be between 60°F to 80°F before and during installation.
