Installation Guide
Installation Methods
Floating
Opt for floating installation if subfloor conditions do not allow for nail or glue-down methods. Use a suitable underlayment and leave a 1/4" expansion gap around room perimeters.
Glue Down
Use glue-down installation for a more permanent fit. Choose a high-quality adhesive suitable for solid hardwood and apply with a trowel. Allow 24 hours for curing before subjecting the floor to foot traffic.
Nail Down
Best for wooden subfloors. Use 1-1/2" to 2" nails or staples spaced 6" to 8" apart. Ensure subfloor is at least 3/4" thick.
Site Requirements
- Temperature: Ensure the room temperature is maintained between 60°F and 80°F for at least 48 hours before, during, and after installation.
- Humidity: Maintain relative humidity levels between 30% and 50% for optimal performance.
- Preparation: Ensure that HVAC systems are operational for a minimum of 7 days before installation. Keep windows and doors closed to stabilize the environment.
