Installation Methods
Floating
Use this method for areas prone to moisture. Lay underlayment and leave a 1/4 inch gap around the perimeter for expansion.
Glue Down
Suitable for rooms with heavy furniture. Apply adhesive using a trowel and allow for proper cure time as per adhesive instructions.
Nail Down
Ideal for wooden subfloors. Use appropriate nails and a pneumatic nailer, maintaining 6 to 8 inch spacing.
Site Requirements
- Temperature: Ensure the room temperature is between 65°F and 85°F (18°C and 29°C) for at least 48 hours before, during, and after installation.
- Humidity: Maintain relative humidity levels between 30% and 50% before and during installation.
- Preparation: HVAC systems should be operational for at least 7 days prior to installation. Ensure adequate lighting and keep doors and windows closed to stabilize conditions.
